Team Leader Training Many professionals struggle to make the transition into leading teams. The processes they have adopted for success as a team member do not always work when applied to managing teams. Often, the individuals have lacked an appropriate role model on which to base their activities. Experiencing failure is not an efficient way to train team leaders. This course is presented over 6 months, with one day per month as the formal training requirement. It aims to address the issues of how to lead teams for individuals new to this role. It is presented over 6 months to allow the individuals to share and solve the real problems they are experiencing. It is presented by a team leader with over a decade of experience in leading teams doing complex, high risk technology acquisition programmes. The content of the course is driven by the real problems being experienced by the trainees. Individuals are encouraged to discuss issues with their peers, improving their communication and networking skills. There will be additional work to be undertaken between the formal training days.
